THE SPIDER KING: FROSTBITE (one shot)
Viking warriors Hrolf, Sigrid and the Laxdale clan continue their war against the alien invaders, traipsing across medieval Europe. Frostbite picks up where the last Spider King volume ended, as the clan make their way through an ominous snow storm, and are attacked by swarms of biting, fighting, talking animals.

The Spider King is written by Josh Vann and illustrated by Simone D’Armini, and was originally funded via Kickstarter in 2013. It was published as a graphic novel in 2016, and the “Vikings vs. Aliens” story will be released by IDW as a four-issue miniseries.”

Simone and I are extremely excited to announce that The Spider King is going to be serialised at IDW in Feb 2018.
Can I recommend that you head over to Kickstarter and check out this hugely ambitious graphic novel project that Simone is contributing to? There’s 13 days left in the campaign, and considering the number of great artists involved, I’m surprised it isn’t getting more love.

Emerging from my long hibernation to tell you that my beautiful partner Josie has produced a really funny podcast that you should listen to. It’s called Book Who’s Talking, and Episode 1 is live. It’s a review of the novel ’Ready Player One’ by Ernest Cline, and it’s hilarious.
Fiona, Laura and Ben are great hosts, and I’m particularly partial to the segment where they cast the HBO series & Lifetime Movie adaptations of the book.
(Also, I designed their logo and promo stuff, which probably doesn’t make much sense unless you’re old enough to remember the greatest talking baby film franchise in history.)
